Today I want to share some impressions from the recent AutoTech: Detroit conference. It was a great opportunity to meet with colleagues and share ideas in person, and hear from so many others within our industry.
One session, in particular, caught my attention. The panel was composed entirely of participants from a single well-known OEM. A key point of the discussion was the collaborative development of in-vehicle software. Several automotive trade associations were named, and a leader of the panel discussion went as far as saying: “If you are not participating in one or more of these initiatives, you don’t belong in this room.”
In short, if you want to be a player, you need to collaborate. This statement has always been the eSync Alliance view and vision: a multi-company initiative for OTA updates and diagnostics. Look at our growing list of white papers, many with several co-authors from leading technology suppliers in the automotive industry. We want you to be in the room with us. Come join us in the eSync Alliance and become part of industry collaboration and the growing momentum of a standardized OTA and data capture solution.
